“I am who I am. Nothing is going to change that.”
What are your favorite recorded a cappella tracks? We All Need Saving (Hyannis Sound), Come Sail Away (Tufts Beelzebubs), If I Ain’t Got You (Firedrill!) Solsbury Hill (Hyannis Sound)
What was the first a cappella song you ever heard? “Down to the River to Pray” (King Singers)
What is your favorite Fundamentally Sound memory? Winter Tour ’09. Period. When else in life does one have the chance to dance to Jai Ho with David Porto?!
What was the first song you ever performed with Fundamentally Sound? Died In Ya Arms at callbacks. Always will remember that.
What previous singing experience do you have? In high school I was part of an all male a cappella group called Midnight Men. I have no idea why we were called this but we had some pretty bada$$ shoes. I also took part in musicals and choir.
Interesting Fact: My left ear sticks out differently than my right. My mother tried taping it to the side of my head as a baby hoping it would straighten itself out. I guess tape can’t do everything.
What is your claim to fame? I am a direct descendant of Gandalf the Grey. (Yes, I am a nerd.)
What do you do before a Fundamentally Sound performance to prepare? I stretch the hamstrings and the glutes. You never know when they will be needed during a gig.
Describe an average day in the life of Chris Morgan: Drink my morning coffee while doing sudoku. Run a marathon. Benchpress Mars. Read the encyclopedia backwards. Act out all 7 Harry Potter novels singlehandedly. And finally, challenge Man vs Food host, Adam Richman, to an eating contest… and win.
